Who I Can Help

 

Individual Therapy - Relational and Person-Centered 

I provide in-depth counseling using an integrative approach, meaning that your therapy is uniquely tailored to you and your needs throughout our time working together. The main focus of psychotherapy is to build a strong relationship within the context of the therapy sessions so that we can explore the patterns, thoughts, circumstances, and emotions that impact our behavior and contribute to the dynamics of our relationships. Identifying the motivations to your behavior and the underlying worldviews will enable you to move through obstacles that have been holding you back and find (or re-discover) a balanced approach to living.

I also offer periodic workshops, presentations, and events for the community on various mental health topics. These are typically psycho-educational groups, rather than support groups or process groups, meaning they are meant to provide you with information and understanding of particular topics or concerns. I offer trauma-informed therapy to those who have lived through experiences that have resulted in ongoing traumatic stress symptoms; examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Sexual Assault/Childhood Sexual Abuse

  • Domestic Violence

  • Traumatic Life Events (i.e. Car Accidents, Disasters, Traumatic Grief and Loss)

  • Work-Related Trauma in First Responders and Emergency Medical Personnel
