Jamie

My name is Jamie and I am a psychotherapist offering in-office therapy in Parker and teletherapy throughout Colorado.

As you wonder about what to expect from therapy, you’ll find that from our very first session, we will focus on building a connection with one another and working together to understand what’s happening in your life.

When you are struggling to communicate well with your loved ones or feel overwhelmed every day, I believe in making a difference right from the beginning. Many of today’s solutions for stress and relationship difficulties have focused more on particular diagnoses and a one-size-fits-all skill development approach.

While there is absolutely a place for improving your stress management skills or conflict resolution strategies, I believe these need to be worked on strategically based on who you are, both in session and out, in conjunction with identifying the deeper patterns that underlie your problems. This enables us to establish a sense of purpose within our sessions that ultimately allows for your exploration and growth as a person.

Every step we take is tailored to you.

I have a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology - a program that focused on the practical application of psychological concepts. I have a wide range of experiences, including roles as a forensic therapist, community mental health clinician, and private practice counselor, all of which have made me a more skilled and competent therapist.

I take pride in the skills I have mastered to help people identify core issues and in making a genuine difference in the lives of those I work with.

If you’re tired of the endless cycle of anxiety, pain, and sadness that you’ve tried to manage on your own, reach out today so we can get you on the path towards relief.

Farrell Meehan-Becquer, MA, LPC

My name is Farrell and I provide teletherapy to individuals living in Colorado.

At any point in life, we may lose our internal compass. Maybe you feel different or alone because of your emotions. Your life may no longer feel aligned, and your thoughts seem weighted by self-doubt and negative thinking. You may wonder why your life tends to follow particular patterns or why certain relationships feel strained. Gaining a deeper understanding for what drives your thoughts, emotions and behavior can be a life-changing experience, and help you regain your direction. However, the idea of doing that alone may feel daunting. I believe that we can all use a guide here and there.

My philosophy is that life is messy, so embrace it. To do that, we must be curious about the mess. True meaningful change comes from embracing our shadows, our unwanted thoughts, emotions, behavior. It is in our discomfort that we find growth.  My therapeutic focus is on skill development through self-exploration to allow you to gain a deeper awareness for your true self and pinpoint the roots of issues to develop self-actualization.

I offer a safe place to explore the parts of us that present a challenge or disruption by supporting the therapeutic relationship through honest and direct conversation by empowering the individual to practice the courage to bring about change. Curiosity and courage brought you this far, when you’re ready for the next step.

When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.
